Die Debatte um die These, dass der Widerspruch ein bloß sprachliches Phänomen ist, das aus – in den Dingen an sich nichtvorhandenen – Dichotomien der Sprache entsteht, ist bekannt und ich werde sie heute nicht ansprechen.
Viel provokativer erscheint mir der gestrige Spaziergangseinfall: Jedweder Gegensatz ist nur sprachlich. Nicht zuletzt könnte auf dem Schild stehen: “Friss mich!”.
Enough with scrolling
Arguably, contradiction is only a linguistic device based on dichotomies in language that are nonexistent in reality. This is a well-known debate and I shall not address it here – not today.
What is more provocative is an aperçu after yesterday’s walk: any opposition is only linguistic. Note that the inscription above (“Do not feed” – meaning: the goats) could state anything else. Among others: “Eat me!”.
